There’s a saying in Vancouver which will give you a brief about the food truck culture in Vancouver it says that “Vancouver never choose to have Food trucks instead Food Trucks choose to have Vancouver”. Can you sense how crazy this is going to be? Well Yes! Vancouverites are insane about food and choosy when it comes to Food Trucks. They see it; they smell it and then they move away. Yes! They move away if they don’t find the real Canadian bliss into it. Here, if you are thinking Canadian Bliss is some specific Canadian taste or style let me take this opportunity to prove you wrong; Canadian Bliss actually means a huge platter with the influence of the world in it. Canadians are welcoming to all and all food. From chilly sauces of eastern countries to the spicy taste of Indian Food and from smoky flavours of the Middle East to the plain textures of European cuisine Canadians love them all. A fine example of it is Vijs Railway.com when I was there in Vancouver Vijs Express made me feel home away from home. I was awestruck when I had that first bite of Butter Chicken Schnitzel in Vancouver. It was the moment when I was convinced that “yes! Punjabis love Canada and we have pledged to make Canada the Capital of Punjab”. Vijs Railway express is famous for its contemporary Indian Cuisine and their USP of changing the menu regularly keep their demand high in the market. Talking about Indian cuisine and not smelling Dosa… Such a big deal! To all Indians light up your taste buds and open your eyes wide open because Madras café is here with tangy Sambhar and spongy Dosa this café is surely a Temple for South Indian Food Lovers. Imagine how Indie Vancouver is. I am not obsessed with Indian Food I had the best fusion of Hot Dogs in Vancouver at Japdog. As its name suggests this demented food truck serves the Best Hot Dogs with a touch of Japanese flavour it. No, not that spicy.

Just while walking on 958 Street in Vancouver I bumped into a lunatic food truck LeTigre. One thing I like about all food trucks is they come up from a mad brain. LiTigre is another phenomenal result of that mad brain. They have twisted the Asian dishes and named them Kick Ass Rice; don’t eat this chicken and Crack Salad.  When I first saw the menu I was hooked up to it. I mean Crack Salad? How in the world can Salad be crack? Mad brain result I guess. Not all Food trucks are cranky some are pretty as well like the One serving delicious Fish Tacos in Vancouver “TacoFino”. This pretty pink colored Food truck has catchy designs over it. Enough of Food now who is up for Dessert? Definitely me. Especially when it’s fluffy dough stuffed with ice cream, top up with Nutella and lemon curd and served with soft cream. This mouth-watering dessert is available at The Praguery and I can assure you that after having one you will ask for two more (Even I Did). Are you wondering that all these food varieties belong to other parts of the world than what belong to Vancouver? Make a check to your dream pack because Vancouver has WakWak. The WakWak Burger food truck is a gem of Vancouver street food. At a price as affordable as $2.85 one can easily fill their tummy till throat. It’s Huge.

Street food reflects the local culture; it reflects the innovation and ideas one learns throughout their life. For me, Food trucks are live dreams a person makes by himself. They design a food truck in the manner they want it to look like, they showcase their likings in its design, its colours and most importantly its food. One specific thing I like about food trucks is they don’t sell ordinary food they recreate the ordinary food and add their essence into it. Just like Arturo’s Mexican to-go who sells traditional Spanish and Mexican flavours in Vancouver but with a fusion to blend it with the ambience of Canada, there are many like him who are promoting their native cuisines without compromising to show their love for Vancouver and its Citizens. After when I returned back from my short trip to Vancouver and someone asked me where to find the best affordable meals in Vancouver I answered “Across the Vancouver but on four Wheels”.
